Nobody takes more photos than a new parent, and nobody prints fewer. A poster is the one place a handful of them survive being scrolled past — and the easiest present to give the people who cannot visit as often as they would like.

The first year produces something like two thousand photographs of a person who looks different every fortnight. Almost none of them are ever printed. They go into a cloud account, get surfaced once a year by an algorithm that has decided this is a memory, and are otherwise gone — not deleted, just unreachable in the way that a shoebox in an attic is unreachable.
A poster is a small correction to that. Five photos out of two thousand, chosen while you still remember which week was which, printed on paper that will outlast the phone they were taken on. It is on a wall, which means it is seen without anyone opening anything.
The second reason is that the audience for these photos is not you. It is a grandparent two hundred kilometres away who sees the baby monthly, an aunt who has not visited yet, a godparent abroad. They are getting the photos as a stream of notifications. A poster gives them the same photos in a form they can hang in a hallway.

The camera roll is dense and repetitive — twenty near-identical photos of the same nap. The trick is to pick by category rather than by scrolling, which takes about twenty minutes.
One photo where they are tiny
The first week, when the scale is still shocking. This is the photo that makes every other photo on the poster work, because it gives the eye something to measure against.
One photo with somebody holding them
Hands, a shoulder, a grandparent's face. A poster of a baby alone reads as a stock image; a poster of a baby being held reads as a family.
One photo that is not flattering
Mid-yawn, mid-cry, covered in cake. It is the photo everyone stops at, because it is the only one that could not have been posed.
One photo from the end of the run
Whatever the most recent good one is. Put it next to the tiny one and the poster tells the whole year without needing a caption.
Newborn print, first year, or the whole cast.
Classic-3 is the newborn poster. Three photos from the first weeks, close together, quiet enough for a nursery wall. It is also the easiest thing to ask a sleep-deprived parent to choose, if you are making this for them.
Story of Five is the first-year version: one hero photo with four spread across the months. The change between the first and the last slot is the entire point, so pick the two ends first and fill the middle after.
The Eight has room for the people. Eight photos, even weight, so the grandparents, the siblings and the friends who turned up in the first months all get a slot rather than being cropped out of somebody else's.
If you would rather do the first year month by month — one photo per month with the month names printed underneath — that is the year-in-photos layout, and it works just as well for a first year as for a calendar one.
Where your files go, in one paragraph.
Baby photos are the most private thing most people will ever upload to a website, so here is the whole of it. Your photos are stored encrypted. They are served only to you and to the print partner who prints the file. They are never shown to anyone else, never sold, and never used to train any model. Our print partner deletes them shortly after fulfilment, and we are rolling out automatic deletion of the originals 30 days after delivery — until that ships, email [email protected] and we will remove yours sooner.

Museum paper, pigment ink, posted flat or rolled.
Enhanced matte art paper, 200gsm, in a natural white with a slight tooth and no glare. Printed at 300 DPI on a Giclée press with pigment inks — the method used for limited-edition art reproductions. Away from direct sunlight it holds its colour for 100 years or more.
Matte paper matters more than usual here: a nursery is a room with lamps in it, and a glossy print at bedtime is mostly reflections. A4 and A3 ship flat, A2 and A1 rolled in a capped tube. Put their name and address in the delivery fields and yours in the contact field. The confirmation, the tracking link and the invoice come to you; the parcel goes to them. Outer packaging is plain — no branding, no windows to see through.

Spotted a mistake?
Email [email protected] straight away. If the file has not reached the press we fix it, or cancel and refund in full. Once it is printing we cannot pull it back.
If it arrives damaged
Email us within 14 days of receipt with a photo of the damage and we reprint it free — the replacement ships within 2 working days. If a parcel goes missing, we chase the carrier and reprint.
New baby poster questions
How many photos do I need for a baby poster?
Three at minimum, twenty at most, and the layouts we print take three, five, eight or twelve. Three is enough for a newborn print; eight suits a first year, because it has room for the people who held them as well as the baby.
Are phone photos good enough to print?
Yes. Any phone made in the last five years is sharp enough for any size up to A2, and A1 only needs a little more. We print at 300 DPI, so pixel count is what matters — the editor flags a photo that is short for the size you picked, before you pay.
Can I order one as a gift for new parents?
Yes, and it is the rare new-baby present that is not another muslin. Ask for three to five photos, then put the parents' address in the delivery fields at checkout and your own email in the contact field. The parcel goes to them; the confirmation and the invoice come to you.
What happens to the photos after you print them?
Our print partner deletes them shortly after fulfilment. On our side we are rolling out automatic deletion of the original files 30 days after delivery — until that ships, email [email protected] and we will remove yours sooner. They are stored encrypted, never shown to anyone else, and never used to train anything.
Can I add photos later and reorder?
Reordering means building a new poster, which takes a few minutes — we keep a small display copy of your photos so you do not have to re-upload the ones you used before. Plenty of people order one a year and hang them as a set.
How long does it take to arrive?
We print to order in 1–2 working days, then add the shipping window for the route: 5–7 working days within the EU, 2–3 within the UK, 4–6 within the US, 2–5 within Australia. Shipping is free worldwide and included in the price.
