Years together, edited down to the ones that matter.
An anniversary poster is a small act of editing. Out of a decade of camera rolls you pick five photos — and the choosing is most of the gift.

An anniversary present is an act of editing.
By the time a couple has an anniversary worth marking, they have somewhere between ten thousand and forty thousand photographs of each other. The abundance is the problem. Nothing in that archive is scarce, and nothing scarce is memorable — which is why the phone full of holidays produces so much less feeling than the one framed photo on the shelf.
Choosing five is the gift. Not the paper, not the frame: the twenty minutes in which somebody went through a decade and decided that these five moments were the ones. That decision is legible in the finished poster, and it is the reason this lands differently from a photo book that contains everything.
The other thing a poster does well is time. Photographs from different years, sitting next to each other on one sheet, show change in a way a chronological album cannot — an album asks you to turn pages, a poster puts 2016 and 2026 forty centimetres apart.
How to choose across ten years without opening ten thousand photos.
Do not scroll. Scrolling an archive this size is how an evening disappears with nothing chosen. Work from memory instead — the photos worth printing are the ones you can already picture.
Write the list before you open the phone
Five moments, from memory, on paper. The trip, the move, the bad flat, the day at the beach. Then go and find those five photos specifically. Ten minutes instead of two hours.
Spread them across the years
One from the start, one from the end, three in between. A poster where every photo is from the same era looks like a holiday; one that spans years looks like a relationship.
Include one where you look terrible
The camping trip, the food poisoning, the moving day. Couples do not frame their glossiest photos — they frame the ones with a story that only two people know.
Do not forget the pre-phone years
Photograph the old prints with your phone, flat, in daylight, no flash. A slightly soft scan from 2009 is worth more on this poster than a perfect photo from last week.
Which layout for how many years.
Classic-3 is three photos, years apart, with the gap between them doing the talking. It is the most restrained option and the one that looks most like art rather than a memento.
Story of Five gives you a hero photo and four that led to it. Put the most recent one in the hero slot and the earliest at the end, and the poster reads backwards through the relationship.
The Eight is the decade layout: one photo per year, or one per trip, all at equal weight. It works particularly well for a tenth or a twenty-fifth, where the count itself is part of the present.
If you would rather mark a specific year than the whole run, the year-in-photos layout prints twelve photos with the month names underneath, and the year field takes any year you like — including the one you got married. Speaking of which: the wedding poster covers that day on its own.
Getting the pre-digital years onto the poster.
Most anniversaries worth printing start before everyone had a good camera in their pocket, so some of the best photos exist only as prints in a box. You do not need a scanner. Put the print on a table near a window, no direct sun, no flash, and photograph it straight down with your phone. Crop the edges off. That file is good enough for A3 and usually for A2.
What matters is pixel count, because we print at 300 DPI — and a modern phone photographing a 10 × 15 cm print produces far more detail than the print itself holds. If the editor flags it as low resolution for the size you picked, go down a size rather than dropping the photo. A slightly soft photo from 2004 earns its place; a sharp one from last month does not automatically.
We do not retouch, colour-correct or "enhance" anything you upload, so a faded print stays faded. If that is not what you want, edit it before uploading — what you send is exactly what we print.

Museum paper, pigment ink, posted flat or rolled.
Enhanced matte art paper, 200gsm, in a natural white with a slight tooth and no glare. Printed at 300 DPI on a Giclée press with pigment inks — the method used for limited-edition art reproductions. Away from direct sunlight it holds its colour for 100 years or more.
A2 is the anniversary size — the one that reads as art rather than a print-out. A4 and A3 ship flat; A2 and A1 ship rolled in a capped tube. A real-wood frame in one of eight colours adds €40 to €80 and arrives assembled with the poster already mounted behind shatter-resistant Perspex — see the frames FAQ.

Anniversary poster questions
Is a photo poster a good first anniversary gift?
The first anniversary is traditionally paper, which makes a printed poster the least contrived answer available. It also works because you now have wedding photos you have looked at once — a poster is the reason to open the gallery again.
How many photos should an anniversary poster have?
Three if you want one moment per era, five for a narrative, eight if you are covering a decade or more. Three photos taken years apart usually beat eight taken the same summer — the gaps are what make it read as time passing.
Can I use old photos, including scanned prints?
Yes. Upload a scan or a phone photo of the print — JPG, PNG, HEIC and WebP all work. Older or lower-resolution images print softer, and the editor flags anything that is short for the size you picked, so drop a size rather than dropping the photo.
What size should I order?
A2 (42 × 60 cm) at €74.95 is the anniversary size — it is the one that reads as a piece of art rather than a print-out. A3 at €49.95 for a hallway, A1 at €99.95 if it is going above something. VAT and worldwide shipping are included.
Will the colours match what I see on my screen?
Close, not identical. Screens are backlit and paper is reflective, so bright saturated areas print a touch quieter. Skin tones, neutrals and most photographs print faithfully. If you are worried about a specific image, email [email protected] before ordering.
Can I have it delivered to a different address?
Yes. The delivery name and address at checkout are whoever the parcel should go to, and the confirmation, tracking link and invoice come to your email instead. Outer packaging is plain — no branding, no windows.
